3-sheet laid mould with painted deckle - unusual alloy deckle joint. Notice how both the wooden deckle and the alloy plate have grooves where the chain lines will lie. These corner joints are quite crude and there would seem to be a risk of them damaging the cover wire or the copper strip edging that protect the edge of the cover wire.
