M 204 J Barcham Hand Made These moulds are unusual in two ways. Firstly they are the only moulds watermarked "J Barcham" which is presumably a brand we introduced for notepaper. The mould book (showing moulds made and modified) indicates we changed the name "J Barcham" to "Barcham" in many pairs of moulds at various times. The individual notepapers would probably have been "fly folded" - i.e. in half - by the customer. They are also the only moulds I have made by Bacon & Wayman (date unknown) who appear to have been at 43, Barbican, London.
